District Shahid Bhagat Singh Nagar(SBS Nagar) administration is mainly supervised by the district collector. District collector or DM supervises all the workings of some other departments of government in the district. A Zilla Parishad provides development management at all rural level. District collector is mainly responsible for administration of city SBS Nagar and he is the head of district revenue administration and works as chief coordination-officer among other officers of district government. All the exigencies and needs of district administration are supervised by the district collector and he is responsible for all other departments of government so he plays a very important role in district administration.
